The only prerequisite of induction is being named an inventor on a US patent. Posthumous induction is allowed. Foundation and the United States Patent and Trademark Office The United States Patent and Trademark Office (PTO or USPTO) is an agency in the United States Department of Commerce that provides patent protection to inventors and businesses for their inventions, and trademark registration for product and intellectual property for children entering grades 2-6. The donation from Close the Loop will provide partial scholarships for girls with financial need to attend Camp Invention programs in Pennsylvania this summer. While at camp, children will learn physics, engineering and creative problem-solving while also learning to entertain themselves with household materials.
