She's a jolly green Geri; STUNNING IN pounds 3,000 VERSACE.
So she stepped into the spotlight wearing a transparent green dress that made her intentions perfectly clear.
Held together by a brooch below the navel, the flimsy pounds 3,000 Versace frock was barely there. But the ex-Ginger Spice's posing power certainly was.
Her head high, she grinned, pouted, swept back her blonde hair extensions and teetered on strappy platform shoes.
She didn't even have to scream: "Look at me.'' Stunned bystanders were already doing that - and gasping.
Geri's timing was impeccable too. This scene-stealing appearance, at the NRJ music awards in France, came just a week before the start of her new TV show Geri's World Walkabout, which she'd love you to watch.
And if people are eyeing 27-year-old Geri, that means they won't be drooling over someone else, particularly her former colleague Posh Spice Victoria Beckham, 25.
Posh - who also has a TV show, Victoria's Secrets, and a less-is-more approach to evening wear - has openly sneered at Geri's previous attempts to grab attention.
"I wouldn't go to a newspaper dressed as a schoolgirl with my boobs out and talk about my relationship," said Mrs Beckham pointedly.
When Geri left the Spice Girls, she changed her raunchy image for a while.
She dumped the heavy make-up, washed out the red hair colouring and adopted a demure style as a UN goodwill ambassador.
But all pop celebrities wanna stay a star. So if that means playing a diplomat one week and a glamour model the next, Geri will do it.
And when she was chosen to present an award to Texas as the best international group, she ensured that she wouldn't be ignored during the ceremony in Cannes.
Her backless - and almost frontless - dress proved a highlight of the event.
So did the newly svelte figure inside it.
In the past, Geri struggled to control her weight.
She has described her ordeal with the eating disorder bulimia, which plagued her at the height of her Spice Girl fame.
But now, as a yoga convert, she is proud of her shape.
And once she'd fallen for this frock while shopping in Italy, she wanted the world to admire it . . . and her.
