Participants received copies of student papers (real examinations written by students in the December 2006 session) along with an "official" red pen. They were invited to mark the papers, indicating errors, strengths and weaknesses and assigning marks for each question. Next, the examiners shared their comments and marks and answered questions about how the grades were determined.
