Sharp Showcases New Professional DLP and LCD Projectors, Large-Screen Professional LCD Monitors and AQUOS LC-TV Display Options at InfoComm 2006.

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Sharp is providing customers with multiple options for crystal-clear commercial displays at InfoComm 2006, including an expanded line of DLP(R) and LCD projectors, as well as flat-panel LCD monitors and AQUOS(R) TVs for use in multimedia (data and video), digital signage and display applications. The company will announce the general availability of the world's largest, full high-definition (HD) resolution 65-inch LCD monitor, model PN-655U, optimized for professional applications. Sharp is also unveiling three new projectors -- an affordable networked DLP projector designed for educational and business use and two high-brightness, LCD Three Polysilicon Conference/Classroom Series projectors optimized for meeting room and lecture hall installations. Sharp will also showcase industry-leading,* flat-panel AQUOS Liquid Crystal TVs in screen sizes ranging from 20 to 65 inches, rounding out this comprehensive product suite for creating captivating digital displays, large-screen computer and video presentations.

Professional DLP Projector

Sharp has expanded its existing line of DLP Conference/Classroom series projectors, with the addition of the XG-MB67X. Combining high brightness of 3,000 ANSI Lumens with outstanding performance and a full feature set, the new XG-MB67X projector is ideal for corporate and educational customers. It has a built-in network connection with a RJ-45 LAN Connector for remote control and access by a Web browser for diagnostics as well as automatic e-mail of product status and a RS-232C connectivity for remote control. This portable projector features Texas Instruments' DDR** DLP(R) technology for high image quality (2000:1 contrast ratio), as well as XGA native resolution for detailed images. For superior color accuracy, the projector incorporates a Condenser Lens Optical System that creates rich black tones and sharp on-screen images. A 3x speed 4-segment color wheel with an enhanced white color segment optimizes white level and brightness to ensure that all projected images are uniform.

Professional LCD Projectors

Designed for settings that demand flexibility and ease of use, the new Conference/Classroom series LCD projectors from Sharp (models XG-C330X and XG-C430X) feature high brightness (3,300 to 4,000 ANSI Lumens) for a superior picture in virtually any lighting environment. Power-saving technologies, theft-deterrent capabilities and superior color accuracy as well as image detail via three polysilicon LCDs round out the impressive feature package of these native-XGA projectors. The XG-C430X and XG-C330X have a built-in RJ-45 LAN connection and Web server that allows direct control from the desktop to the projector without special software, as well as an RS-232C port for remote control. For flexibility, in addition to the included standard zoom lens, the new projectors offer four optional lenses (short throw, telephoto zoom 1.29x, telephoto zoom 1.52x and telephoto zoom 1.41x) making these models adaptable to even the most demanding application.

Professional LCD Monitors

Sharp is announcing U.S. general availability of the world's largest professional LCD monitor, the 65-inch model PN-655U. This robust 65-inch monitor has a full 1920 x 1080 two-megapixel high-definition (HD) resolution for accurate and precise image reproduction. With commercial design and components, the PN-655U offers superior reliability for extended use applications, complementing Sharp's line of professional LCD video/data monitors. The PN-655U monitor's excellent performance makes it ideal for use in diverse commercial settings such as digital signage, medical imaging, CAD/CAM and flight information displays. Sharp will also show the 45-inch professional, high-definition (1920 x 1080 native resolution) monitor designed for commercial applications (model PN-455). With a full complement of computer and video inputs, both models are designed for professional use and are compatible with virtually any source.

AQUOS LC-TVs

Sharp is showcasing several AQUOS TVs, including the LC-65D90U 65-inch AQUOS TV, the industry's largest available LC-TV and the state-of-the-art LC-57D90U, a new screen size in Sharp's extensive line. Sharp's AQUOS Liquid Crystal televisions range from 13 to 65 inches. The full line of Sharp LCD monitors and AQUOS LC-TVs have high image quality and ultra-reliability, making them ideal for digital signage and display applications in practically any setting. These Sharp LCD monitors and AQUOS TVs, with their high-resolution image quality and full complement of computer and video inputs, are compatible with almost any source, including HDTV and hi-resolution computer graphics.
