Phillips International Auctioneers has set out to conquer the American Art American art, the art of the North American colonies and of the United States. There are separate articles on American architecture, North American Native art, pre-Columbian art and architecture, Mexican art and architecture, Spanish colonial art and architecture,  Market with the sale of the masterpiece "Suprematist Composition" by the Russian painter Kazimir Malevich, that went for more than 17 million dollars on May 11 last week in New York New York, state, United States

This painting is a pivotal work in the history of 20th century art. Recently returned to the Malevich family by the New York Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), the composition was presented to buyers, during the sale, by the actress Sharon Stone, dressed from top to toe from head to foot; altogether.

After the sale, Sharon Stone received a percentage of the auction's proceeds as a donation on behalf of amfAR, for which she is a Chairman of the Campaign for AIDS Research.

Thus Phillips is the first Auction House to contribute to the fight against AIDS.
