Six Polymer Line Project Marks Largest Polymer Deployment in China

AUSTIN, Texas -- Pavilion Technologies, a world leader in model-based software, today announced an agreement with Shanghai SECCO Petrochemical Co. to deploy Pavilion's Polymer Solution on six polymer lines at the company's manufacturing facility in the Shanghai Chemical Industrial Park. Through this agreement, SECCO will deploy Pavilion's extruder and reactor control applications to further increase production rates and enhance product quality to meet China's growing market demands. This agreement further strengthens Pavilion's leadership position in the polymer industry, raising its total number of deployments to more than 90 polymer lines.

As the second Chinese company to select Pavilion's solutions, the SECCO project represents the first large-scale deployment of Pavilion's Polymer Solution in China, and underscores Pavilion's commitment to delivering model predictive control (MPC) technology to Chinese manufacturers. SECCO will deploy Pavilion's control solutions on two Innovene polyethylene lines, one Innovene polypropylene line and three polystyrene lines. * Up to a four percent increase in production rate for polyolefins

* Up to a 30 percent improvement in product quality in both polyolefin and polystyrene units
