Talks are being held with potential licensors who have been invited to own stakes in the projects. Gaoqiao, a Sinopec subsidiary, has entered into advanced licensing and equity talks with a Japanese company for the $80 million, 100,000 metric tons per year SBR project, and shortlisted one or two licensors for the ABS project. The company plans to start construction in June, with the projects starting up in mid-2005.
