Shanghai Cabot Chemical Ltd. (Acquisitions, Expansions).


Shanghai Shanghai (shăng`hī`, shäng`hī`), city (1994 est. pop. 12,980,000), in, but independent of, Jiangsu prov., E China, on the Huangpu (Whangpoo) River where it flows into the Chang (Yangtze) estuary.  Cabot Chemical Ltd. announced plans to expand its carbon black production facility in Shanghai. China. The expansion of the facility will increase carbon black production output by more than 50,000 metric tons (Transparent Optical Networking Services) A marketing term for providing dark fiber to a customer. The customer is responsible for generating the transmission signal and interpreting it at the other end. See dark fiber.  per year through the use of advanced technology developed by Cabot.
