ATLANTA -- Shane's Rib Shack, the fastest growing, fast-casual barbecue concept in the country, has announced the launch of its system wide catering menu. Shane's Rib Shack has come a long way since its non air conditioned shack off Highway 155 in McDonough, Georgia with 26 stores opened across 5 states and another 90 in development.

Nothing has changed however with Shane's approach to serving good barbecue and now he's adding the last ingredient that has made his original "Shack" so successful - catering. Franchisees may experience as much as a 30 percent lift in sales as a result of adding catering to their business.

The catering menu will offer such Shane's favorites as BBQ Chopped Pork and Baby Back Ribs, along with traditional sides of baked beans, coleslaw and mac and cheese. Catered meals are always followed up by cobbler or cookies, and there's nothing like a tall, cold pitcher of iced tea or lemonade to top it off.

Party Platters made up of three racks of BBQ Ribs, giant mountains of wings, or 30 or 50 pieces of chicken tenders are also available to make every party more memorable.

Unlike most rib joints and barbecue concepts, Shane's only serves Baby Back Ribs verses the lesser quality Spare Rib and St. Louis Rib cuts. Additionally, as a means of maintaining the finest quality products, Shane's intentionally avoids beef products because of their unpredictable nature and difficulty keeping moist. All pork is smoked for 10 hours and then hand-chopped to order. You will never find a mechanical cutter either.
