Sewing and Embroidery go High Tech at CES 2007 Showing Brother International Products with USB Connectivity, Touch-Screen Color LCD Displays and Downloading Capability from the Internet.


BRIDGEWATER, N.J. -- Brother International Corporation, a leading supplier of home sewing and embroidery machines, displayed the latest in sewing and embroidery technology at the 2007 Consumer Electronics Show. From the Brother Innov-is 4000D sewing, embroidery and quilting quilting, form of needlework, almost always created by women, most of them anonymous, in which two layers of fabric on either side of an interlining (batting) are sewn together, usually with a pattern of back or running (quilting) stitches that hold the layers  machine with its full-color LCD touch screen to the compact six-needle Brother PR-600II embroidery machine, the wide array of Brother machines, technology, accessories and software can satisfy the high-performance demands of tech-savvy users, yet have the ease of use to unleash the creativity of sewers of any experience level.

Brother featured three of its most advanced machines at CES 2007, specifically the Innov-is 4000D sewing, embroidery and quilting machine, the PR-600II embroidery machine and the QC-1000 quilting machine.

The Innov-is 4000D has a large 8.3-inch x 3.1-inch full-color LCD touch screen control panel, built-in movie tutorials, ability to view stitches in color, zoom function for viewing stitch patterns and design preview, as well as the My Custom Stitch[TM] feature, which allows users to create their own stitches on the touch screen. The Innov-is 4000D also has two built-in USB ports for connecting to a computer or optional media storage devices. Combined with Brother's PE-Design[R]7.0 software, users can also create personal designs, incorporate photo images and even include names and signatures.

Brother's PR-600II is a powerful, fast and portable six-needle embroidery machine perfect for home users or small businesses. This machine has a large, easy-to-use color LCD touch screen, multimedia capability with a built-in, 2-way USB port for direct connection to a computer. Users can edit patterns on the machine's touch screen and pre-program color changes. The PE-600II is completely compatible with Brother's PE-Design[R] software to produce embroidery designs in popular home and commercial formats.

Quilting continues to be a popular crafting activity and the Brother QC-1000 offers a variety of special features of particular interest to avid quilters, including its 30 built-in quilting stitches and an oversized o·ver·size
