John R. Williams John R Williams (May 4, 1782 – October 20, 1854) is most well known for serving as the City of Detroit's first mayor, though he also served as Detroit's mayor for five other terms. , from Superintendent, Scranton Scranton, city (1990 pop. 81,805), seat of Lackawanna co., NE Pa., in a mountain region, on the Lackawanna River; settled in the 1700s, inc. 1866. Named for George W. , Pa., to superintendent, Sewanhaka Central Schools, Floral Park Floral Park, village (1990 pop. 15,947), Nassau co., SE N.Y., on Long Island, a residential suburb of New York City; inc. 1908. It has a commercial flower industry. , N.Y.
