Severn Trent in pounds 1 million mains project.

SEVERN trent Severn Trent plc (LSE: SVT) is a British utility. It is traded on the London Stock Exchange and is a constituent of the FTSE 100 Index.

Severn Trent is a group of companies employing more than 15,000 people across the UK, US and mainland Europe.

Paul Winterton, project leader for Severn Trent Water, said: "Over the school summer holidays we will be closing sections of Yardley Road to complete vital water mains replacement work.

"We have been consulting with local traders about how this work may affect them." Representatives from Severn Trent Water will be on hand from 9am- 12pm at Acocks Green Acocks Green is an area and ward of south Birmingham, England. It is named after the Acock family who built a large house in the area in 1370. Acocks Green is one of the four wards making up Yardley formal district.
