Byline: Bill Bishop The Register-Guard

Five men were arraigned Thursday and two others turned themselves in to Lane County sheriff's investigators in connection with a robbery at a home on Old Franklin Boulevard near McVay Highway north of Lane Community College on Wednesday.

She told police the men were dressed in black and wearing ski masks while creeping around the forested property carrying what appeared to be high-powered rifles.

The 38-year-old woman suffered minor injuries in the assault, sheriff's spokesman Sgt. Clint Riley said.

Investigators are not disclosing possible motives for the robbery while the investigation continues, although they have determined the victim did not know her attackers, Riley said.

He declined to comment on earlier reports that the targeted house may have been the site of a marijuana-growing operation.

Investigators recovered a rifle, a stun gun stun gun, hand-held electronic device that produces a high-voltage pulse that can immobilize a person for several minutes with no permanent damage in most cases.  and other weapons from the suspects and from two vehicles the men used, Riley said.
