Seven associations have been honored with an Award of Excellence in the second round of judging in the 2003 Associations Advance America Awards program. The newest honorees include the Alliance of Information and Referral Systems, Seattle; the American Medical Directors Association, Columbia, Maryland Columbia is a census-designated place and planned community in Howard County, Maryland, United States. It is a suburb of Baltimore, and, to a lesser degree, Washington, DC. It began with the idea that a city could enhance its residents' quality of life. ; American Association American Association refers to one of the following professional baseball leagues:
