All seven of the community colleges have selected AGent VERSO to provide them with web-based access to both student and staff functionality, including circulation, cataloging and all administrative modules. In addition, the libraries have opted to integrate AGent Search[TM], a powerful Web Services-enabled federated search solution allowing students and staff to quickly and intelligently search electronic resources, bibliographic databases and the open web - all within the library's online public access catalog (library) Online Public Access Catalog - (OPAC) A computerised system to catalogue and organise materials in a library (the kind that contains books). By implementing AGent VERSO, an open, standards-based system, these libraries will be able to easily incorporate additional modules that enhance the user's discovery process as the colleges grow and their needs evolve.

"Auto-Graphics understands that community college libraries have unique requirements to meet the growing needs of the students, faculty and communities they serve, which are often times not addressed by other ILS vendors," said Paul Cope, president of Auto-Graphics. "We are dedicated to providing these library customers with a feature-rich, robust functionality set with the ability to customize each library to a very high degree, regardless of whether the library purchases the system individually or as part of a consortium."
