Sessions helps No. 19 Nevada beat Hawaii

Ramon Sessions scored 19 points, including the go-ahead basket in overtime, to give No. 19 Nevada a 68-66 victory over Hawaii on Saturday night.

Playing without injured star forward Nick Fazekas, Nevada (16-1, 4-0 Western Athletic Conference) relied on Sessions and Kyle Shiloh, who scored 18 points.

Hawaii (10-7, 1-3) led for most of the game until Sessions made the tying layup with 18 seconds left in regulation. His winner came with 27 seconds remaining in overtime.

In Fazekas' absence, the Wolf Pack squeaked by despite being outrebounded 42-33. Nevada extended its winning streak to nine straight.

The Rainbows were led by Ahmet Gueye, who had 20 points and 14 rebounds. Matt Lojeski scored 17 points.

The game featured eight lead changes and 12 ties.

Hawaii, which led 30-26 at halftime, seemed to control the pace of the game until Nevada came back in the second half.

Marcelus Kemp finished with 11 points for the Wolf Pack, who haven't lost since Dec. 9 against UNLV.
