Sequoia Software Begins Beta Program for Java Version of its XML-Pure Portal Software, XPS or Unix.

XML-pure portal software developer, Sequoia Software Corporation (Nasdaq:SQSW), today announced it has commenced the Beta program for the Java version of XPS(TM), its flagship portal software product.

Several key Sequoia customers and partners have already agreed to participate as Betas including Commerce One Global Services, GE Research and Development, Lockheed Martin, Software AG, and Waste Management.

Sequoia's XPS for Unix is based on the Java 2 Enterprise Edition (J2EE) specification. By combining the openness of Sequoia's XML-pure architecture with Java, XPS for Unix will be extremely portable, offering support for a wide range of J2EE application servers, as well as streamlined connectivity with third-party applications within and beyond the enterprise.
