Sepin honored at ADI.

ADAA Executive Director Lawrence H. Sepin was inducted as an honorary Fellow of the Academy of Dentistry International (ADI) during a ceremony held in Orlando, FL, in conjunction with the ADA Annual Conference. The mission of the Academy is as follows: "The Academy of Dentistry International is the international honor society for dentists dedicated to sharing knowledge in order to serve dental health needs and to improve the quality of life of people throughout the world. Through the development of fellowship and understanding, the Academy endeavors to create opportunities for service in order to assist in the establishment of a world at peace."

With a belief in world understanding through education, the ADI was formed in 1974 and is governed by a Board of Regents. Mr. Sepin was honored by ADI because of his leadership role with the American Dental Assistants Association. He is pictured below, left, with Donald T. Brown, DDS, MS, ADI President

During Larry Sepin's 14 years as Executive Director of ADAA, he initiated development of the ADAA Foundation and has served as its treasurer since 1993; he assisted in the development of a Community Volunteer Award with a major dental-related corporation that honors ADAA members for their involvement in fostering community oral health care projects, served on the steering committee for the Third Ethics Symposium for dental and dental-related companies, increased scholarships for needy dental assistant students by obtaining corporate support for an ongoing scholarship program and obtained corporate funding for Health Occupation Student Awards program for top students in dental assisting schools. He is the first honorary fellow inducted as a result of his work with dental auxiliaries.
