that reduce the risks associated with farming are the topics of two reports issued by the Technology Transfer Information Center, which is part of the USDA's Agricultural Research Service in Beltsville, MD.

Using Sensors on Agricultural Equipment to Reduce Human Risks features the emerging sensor A device that measures or detects a real-world condition, such as motion, heat or light and converts the condition into an analog or digital representation. An optical sensor detects the intensity or brightness of light, or the intensity of red, green and blue for color systems.  technology and delineates the farm equipment manufacturing industry's requirements for sensors that detect human presence and thereby reduce the number of potential injuries and fatalities caused by farm machine entanglement.

Using Sensors to Detect Potentially Hazardous Atmospheres in Production Agriculture discusses the industry's requirements for chemical sensors that detect toxic, combustible com·bus·ti·ble

Prior to starting the Silos, Walter played with The Vulgar Boatmen. With Salas-Humara emerging as the Silos' primary songwriter, the band put out the independently-released EP About Her Steps  and manure manure, term used in the United States to refer to excreta of animals, with or without added bedding; also called barnyard manure. In other countries the term often refers to any material used to fertilize the soil.  pits. This report feature the emerging sensor technology and also discusses sensor systems being used in nonfarm environments as having potential use in multi-gas monitors for agriculture.
