Sensor Faucet.

Symmons Industries' new Ultra-[Sense.sup.TM] faucet, which uses an advanced form of opto-electronics technology called Position Sensitive Detection (PSD (tool) PSD - Portable Scheme Debugger. ), eliminates many of the performance problems common to traditional infrared-sensor faucets.

With PSD, Ultra-Sense performs an "active triangulation triangulation: see geodesy.

measurement" to pinpoint an approaching object's location, rather than measuring its infrared temperature. As a result, the faucet's performance isn't affected by inconsistent lighting environments, varying surface colors or textures, splashes or other limitations common to infrared sensor technology. When an object enters Ultra-Sense's "triangulation zone," water flow will be triggered--with greater accuracy and consistency than any sensor faucet on the market today.
