As part of that effort, senior citizens, defined in this case as anyone age 62 or older, can use a federally issued Golden Age Passport to get half-price entry - just $1 per visit or $10 for a season pass.

An Earn-a-Pass program to allow others to volunteer their time - probably 15 to 20 hours - in exchange for a season pass to all of Lane County's pay-for-use parks will be announced before the fee season begins next month.

People can get Golden Age Passports for a one-time $10 fee and proof of age at the U.S. Forest Service office in the Federal Building at 211 E. Seventh Ave.; most federal ranger Ranger

This year's Run for the Mountain, a fund-raiser to help pay for trail-building and maintenance at Mount Pisgah, will feature the artwork of University of Oregon The University of Oregon is a public university located in Eugene, Oregon. The university was founded in 1876, graduating its first class two years later. The University of Oregon is one of 60 members of the Association of American Universities.  junior JulieAnna Little.

Little's winning entry features a row of three squares, containing drawings of trees, a shoe and mountain peaks, with the name of the event above and the date below. The design will go on T-shirts and posters advertising the fourth annual 5K trail run and one-mile trail hike on National Trails Day, June 7, at Mount Pisgah.

This year's art contest drew 35 entries. Little will receive a $75 cash prize, and her design will be submitted to Runner's World Runner's World is a globally circulated monthly magazine for recreational runners, published by Rodale Press in Emmaus, Pennsylvania, in the United States.

In addition to the printed magazine, the magazine's web sites have provided a valuable resource for runners,
