Sendia Announces WorkSpace CRM 3.0; Wireless SFA Evolves into WorkSpace CRM, Reflecting Broader Capabilities and More Advanced Integration with salesforce.com.

SANTA MONICA Santa Monica (săn`tə mŏn`ĭkə), city (1990 pop. 86,905), Los Angeles co., S Calif., on Santa Monica Bay; inc. 1886. Tourism and retailing are important, and the city has motion-picture, biotechnology, and software industries. , Calif. -- Sendia Corporation, a leading wireless business application platform company, today announced the release of WorkSpace CRM (Customer Relationship Management) An integrated information system that is used to plan, schedule and control the presales and postsales activities in an organization.  3.0 for salesforce.com, which features a host of powerful new features and upgrades, including support for salesforce.com's Customforce and other advanced capabilities such as filtered views, increased data capacity, and customizable lists.

Designed for salesforce.com mobile users, WorkSpace CRM 3.0 replaces Sendia's Wireless Salesforce Automation (SFA See sales force automation.

She added, "Because we can capture each customer interaction instantly, our CRM solution is richer and more effective. And Sendia's WorkSpace CRM became even more valuable to us once we created custom objects to match the way we do business."

their custom objects in an easy point-and-click environment," said Alex Klyce, president of Sendia. "With our new configurable filtered views and vastly increased storage capacity, the right data is readily available on the device, making WorkSpace 3.0 a must-have for any salesforce.com user working outside of the office."

Custom Objects Now Accessible on Handheld Devices

With WorkSpace CRM 3.0, custom objects such as invoices, purchase orders, HR tracking, expenses, and project management originally created for the desktop version of Salesforce can be made accessible wirelessly on BlackBerry or Treo handheld devices. This allows administrators to decide the exact custom application functionality they want mobilized on their field teams' mobile devices.

With WorkSpace CRM 3.0, custom objects created in the desktop Salesforce appear as individual tabs in the device's user interface for easy navigation.

"Since most salesforce.com customers customize their applications, Sendia now expands its ability to give users access to the same data on their handheld devices that they already use on their desktop or laptop computers," Klyce explained. "Consistency helps overall organization and efficiency for the user as they switch between their wireless devices, laptops and desktop computers."

Up to 60,000 Records on a Single BlackBerry Device

For BlackBerry users, WorkSpace CRM 3.0 offers a major enhancement by enabling up to 60,000 records to reside on supported RIM BlackBerry devices, an equivalent of 7.5MB of application data storage. For the typical user, this means that all of their existing Salesforce records will be instantly available on the device's local database from the moment the application installation is complete. As with version 2.3, data can be instantly accessed through WorkSpace CRM even when a wireless connection is not available.

This far exceeds the number of records supported by any other mobile salesforce.com vendor and is five times as many records as Sendia's previous version, enabling users to focus on their business rather than worrying about storage space constraints.

Support for List Views

WorkSpace CRM 3.0 supports custom List Views, which offer customized ways of viewing the information on the handheld device. Configurable by the administrator or mobile user, List Views help improve productivity when there are hundreds or thousands of records stored on a device, as data can be quickly grouped or viewed in specific formats that are unique to the preferences of a company or mobile user.

For example, if an administrator creates a custom object in Salesforce, he or she can select only the data fields that would be relevant to a mobile user to be featured on the device. The administrator can then configure the layout depending on preference and frequency of use.

Customizable Display Formats, Enhanced Navigation, Activity Reporting

Designed to increase the productivity of the mobile user, Sendia's WorkSpace CRM 3.0 also expands customization of other features including display formats that are customizable by the user or an administrator. 3.0 also includes improved navigation capabilities with extensive use of hot links to instantly connect users to key information. Additionally, the user activity reporting feature provides administrators with full bar graph visibility to the mobile use of salesforce.com, demonstrating the ROI (Return On Investment) The monetary benefits derived from having spent money on developing or revising a system.
