Send a child on the trip of a lifetime to Lapland; ++ Three special children will get the chance to meet Father Christmas in his winter wonderland ++.

The search is on for three deserving children to be sent on the holiday of a lifetime in Lapland - and the chance to meet Santa Claus.

The Telegraph has joined forces with Mercia FM Mercia is an Independent Local Radio broadcasting from Coventry. There are two frequencies: 97.0 and 102.9. It is part of The One Network.

The 97.0 FM signal is by far the strongest, from the transmitter at Shilton, near the M6/M69 junction, and is for Coventry, and the much
, Cosmos and Tommies Children's Centre to offer the fantastic trip to children who really deserve a magical Christmas.

In the winter wonderland of the Arctic Circle three special children from Coventry and Warwickshire will get the chance to meet Santa.

We are looking for youngsters who have overcome difficulties in the past year and touched the hearts of those who know them.

December 20. Along with a parent or carer each they will enjoy an action-packed three nights and three days in Santa's snow-filled home-land.

The children will get the chance to go on husky dog and reindeer sleigh sleigh: see sled.  rides, tobogganing and snowmo-biling - and, of course, have the chance to visit Santa Claus and his elves.

The youngsters will also get to see what happens to the millions of letters posted to Father Christmas every year and pay a visit to his workshop where the elves will be making toys.

The competition is for children aged 10 and under on December 20, 2006, and entries should be received by midday on Friday, November 24.

So if you know a child who deserves a surprise trip to see Santa in his snowy home, please fill out the nomination form and send an accompanying letter of no more than 150 words.
