Senator Mike Machado Presents California Lottery's Exceptional Educator Award to Fairfield Teacher.News Editors SACRAMENTO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 21, 2003 Since April of 2001, the California Lottery has presented the "Exceptional Educator" awards on "The Big Spin(R)" television show. This week's show aired Saturday, June 21, 2003, in twelve television markets statewide. Senator Mike Machado presented Robert Mitchell Robert Mitchell is the name of several different people:

He is often identified with the legendary Robert the Devil. a Social Science teacher who is truly making a difference in the lives of students at Armijo High School History Armijo High School is a secondary school located in Fairfield, California which first began operation in 1891. This school has been named both a California Distinguished School and a National School of Excellence. ." Robert Mitchell is responsible for modernizing the Science Department at Armijo High School. The textbooks and science equipment used to teach students were antiquated, in some cases over 50 years old. So it became Mitchell's mission to update the Science Department.
