Senate-passed care act includes several provisions notable to associations. (Headlines).


The Senate has passed charitable giving legislation containing more than $12.3 billion in tax relief but excluding several contentious provisions dealing with faith-based charities receiving federal grants. The following provisions are notable for associations:

* Deductibility of charitable contributions charitable contribution n. in taxation, a contribution to an organization which is officially created for charitable, religious, educational, scientific, artistic, literary, or other good works.  by non-itemizers (an ASAE-backed provision).

* Tax-free rollover A graphic element in an application or on a Web page that changes its color or shape when the pointer is moved (rolled) over it. See JavaScript rollover. See also n-key rollover.  of charitable donations from individual retirement accounts.

* Increased oversight

Oversight may refer to:

, which would essentially reverse a 1997 tax law change that adversely affected numerous associations.
