Senate Committees Elect Chairmen.ISLAMABAD, October 15, 2009 (Balochistan Times): The Senate Standing/Functional Committees on Education, Government Assurances, Minorities Affairs, Environment, Overseas Pakistanis, Population Welfare, Science & Technology, Sports & Youth Affairs, Textile Industry, Commerce and Information & Broadcasting elected their Chairmen / Chairpersons respectively in separate meetings held at the Parliament House. The election was held at the Parliament House today, as contemplated by the Rule 163(1) of Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the Senate, 1988 and proceedings were conducted by Special Secretary Senate, Mr. Iftikharullah Khan Babar. The proceedings were witnessed by Leader of the House in the Senate, Syed Nayyar Hussain Bokhari and a number of other Senators. Senators S.M. Zafar, Moula Bakhsh Chandio, Mir Muhammad Ali Muhammad Ali, pasha of EgyptMuhammad Ali, 1769?–1849, pasha of Egypt after 1805.
