Sen. Rick Santorum (R-Pa.) honored 82 Pennsylvania youths in September at a National Congressional Award ceremony on the Main Rotunda of the State Capitol Building in Harrisburg. Among the youth being recognized, more than half have earned the award as part of the Pennsylvania Migrant Education Program. The program provides an opportunity for young people to learn from adults who will encourage and support them along the way to earning a Congressional Award, and it encourages establishing community networks and links, and enables disadvantaged youth to become a part of the community.
