Sempra Selects Spescom Software for San Diego Gas & Electric and Southern California Gas; Spescom Teams With ESRI and HP to Provide Integrated Solution.

Spescom Software Inc., formerly Altris Software, Inc. (OTCBB: ALTS), a leading provider of integrated document, configuration and records management (iDCR) solutions, today announced that SEMPRA ENERGY has selected its eB product for a number of applications throughout its operations.

SEMPRA ENERGY (NYSE: SRE) is a San Diego-based Fortune 500 energy services company with over 12,000 employees. It provides a wide range of value added electric and gas products and services to a diverse range of customers.

Sempra Energy will initially deploy eB in the Land Management Department of San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E) and the Real Estate and Facilities Department of Southern California Gas, both Sempra subsidiaries. It will enable users to access over two million real estate documents using the Spescom eB Document Management (DM) application and eB GIS-Connect, an out-of-the-box Web interface that seamlessly integrates eB DM with ESRI's ArcIMS GIS application. ERSI, a private company based in Redlands, California, is the world leader of geographic information system technology.

Sempra Energy plans to use eB across its intranet to provide its employees with an easy to use map interface to access documents stored in the eB system; to view maps electronically and spatially navigate to the property or easement of interest; and to allow the user to select or "click" on a property or easement and bring up its related real estate documents. Southern California Gas will migrate to eB from an obsolete legacy solution and share the eB platform with SDG&E.

The solution will be deployed using industry standard ProLiant servers from HP (NYSE: HPQ).
