Sega Predicts Further Losses.

Sega Electronics Ltd has said that the costs of laying off 1,000 people, a quarter of its workforce, will mean that it posts a further loss of $200m for the current business year. The Jiji Press reports that Sega has presented a plan to its labor unions that calls for 1,000 of its staff to chose early retirement by the end of June. Last month, Sega predicted that it would make a loss of $378m for financial year 1998.
