See 'Hawks? Not exactly priceless.

So you've caught Seahawk Fever, and you've got it bad.

You've got your Lofa Tatupu replica jersey, your Seahawks nostalgia silk necktie, your Seahawks Blue face paint. You're all dressed up with no place to go.

Except Detroit, site of Super Bowl Extra Large, Seahawks vs. Steelers, Feb. 5.

And you're not content to watch it from your recliner, snarfing chips from your Seahawks snack helmet, quaffing a cold one wrapped in a Seahawks neoprene bottle jersey, cuddled in your Seahawks plush fleece throw. You've got to be there in the Motor City with 65,000 other fans, taking in the spectacle of large men crashing into each other in a contest of barely controlled mayhem - not to mention the Rolling Stones at halftime.

Just be prepared to dig deep.

Tickets are widely available, so long as you're willing to pay five times the face value of $600 or more.

You can get a package, including tickets, air fare and hotel, as long as you don't mind cashing in a year's worth of tuition at the University of Oregon. Heck, you even can get a sweet luxury suite for yourself and 41 of your closest friends, so long as you don't mind taking out a second mortgage.

On eBay, tickets start around $2,500 each and go up to more than $4,000 apiece. Ticketsnow.com is advertising tickets as high as $6,325 each.

For those not satisfied with an 18-inch slab of plastic to sit on, luxury suites are available. A 42-seat suite on the 10-yard line is going for $229,100. A 20-person suite on the 20-yard line costs $174,000 - food and beverages included.

Getting there is no bargain, either. A round-trip ticket from Eugene to Detroit starts at $697 and goes up to $1,540 on Expedia.com. And hotels in Detroit proper are going for upward of $500 a night, said Karen Stahlberg of Sunrise Travel in Eugene.

Super Bowl packages are going fast. PrimeSport, the official travel agency of the Seahawks, has sold out its three-day packages, but is offering a same-day Super Bowl package. For $4,449, you get a round-trip flight from Seattle to Detroit, an upper level end zone ticket, a pre-game tailgate party, a program, souvenir and ticket holder. If you want a lower level seat between the 30s, add another $2,500.

Stubhub.com is offering deluxe five-day packages, starting at $5,800, or about what you'd pay for a year's tuition and fees at the UO.

Some fans say they would just as soon stay at home and watch the game on television.

Dave Wilcox of Junction City could go to the game if he wanted. His wife is a travel agent, and he's a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame. A standout linebacker for the San Francisco 49ers who played his college ball at Oregon, Wilcox just laughed when asked if he planned to attend the Super Bowl.

"My plans are not to go to Detroit in the middle of January," he said.
