Security Heads AICPA's Top 10 Technologies.


Security is tops -- at least on the AICPA's 11th annual Top Ten Technology Issues for the profession. The list, in order of importance: 1) information security and controls, 2) e-business (Electronic-BUSINESS) Doing business online. The term is often used synonymously with e-commerce, but e-business is more of an umbrella term for having a presence on the Web. , 3) electronically based business and financial reporting, 4) privacy, 5) training and technology, 6) disaster recovery, 7) quality of IT personnel, 8) quality of service, 9) electronic audit trail, 10) application service providers.
