Securant Technologies Appoints Richard M. Leichus Chief Operating Officer; Fast Growing Developer of Access Management Software for e-Business Expands Executive Management Team.


SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 11, 1999--

Securant Technologies - a leading developer of access management products for secure e-business - today announced the appointment of Richard M. Leichus as Chief Operating Officer Chief Operating Officer (COO)

The officer of a firm responsible for day-to-day management, usually the president or an executive vice-president.
 (COO). Leichus brings more than 35 years of technology industry experience to this key role on Securant's executive management team. His proven track record for helping emerging companies achieve and manage aggressive growth, and sell enterprise-class software products will help guide Securant's growing industry momentum. He reports directly to Jonti McLaren, CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  of Securant Technologies.

Prior to joining Securant, Leichus was Chief Financial Officer for Saratoga Systems, a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software vendor where he managed the finance, legal, human resources, benefits, facilities and administration functions. Leichus played a pivotal role in helping grow Saratoga Systems from 14 people and $2.5 million in revenues to 130 people and $18.5 million in revenues. Leichus has held a number of executive level operations, finance and administration positions with start-up and growing companies including Dataclone, Cambridge Systems Group, Callan Associates, and Louisiana Computing Corporation. He started his career at IBM where he authored IBM 360 Programming and Computing, published by Prentice Hall. Leichus holds an MSEE MSEE Master of Science in Electrical Engineering
