SecurFone America Acquires SCIES, Inc.; Paul B. Silverman Appointed CEO.


SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 16, 1998--SecurFone America, Inc. (OTC/BB: SFAI SFAI San Francisco Art Institute

) today announced it is acquiring SCIES, Inc., a Reston, Va. based global provider of Internet telephony software, systems and services. The acquisition will enable the integration of SecurFone's prepaid telephony services and SCIES' Internet technology.

SCIES, Inc. will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary Wholly Owned Subsidiary

A subsidiary whose parent company owns 100% of its common stock.
