Seasoned Health Care Executives Supplement Veridien Management Team; to Assist in Driving Planned Growth.

:VRDE) recently announced its equity investment in and right to acquire a majority interest in Mycosol, Inc. a development-stage chemical and pharmaceutical development company, located in Research Triangle Park Research Triangle Park, research, business, medical, and educational complex situated in central North Carolina. It has an area of 6,900 acres (2,795 hectares) and is 8 × 2 mi (13 × 3 km) in size. Named for the triangle formed by Duke Univ.  area of North Carolina. As part of the agreement, key members of the Mycosol management team have agreed to focus on assisting Veridien expansion in the areas of marketing, sales, research and technology development.

Mycosol's senior executives have already begun working with Veridien to provide operational, technical, and product development support to expand the current Viraguard anti-infectives product portfolio and increase market penetration

Mycosol's key management includes Richard B. Klein (recently appointed to Veridien's Board of Directors), Jeffrey Selph and James Hriso.

Mr. Klein, a Co-Founder of Mycosol Inc., serves as Mycosol's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. He is a 30-year veteran of the healthcare industry, having served in a general management capacity at both large and small (early-stage) companies, including: ArgoMed, Angiosonics, Edward Weck Company (subsidiary of Bristol-Myers Squibb), and Bard Medsystems Division (of C.R. Bard). He was responsible for - and led - the RTP Inflammation and Pain Sections in vivo efforts and, in addition, headed Burroughs Wellcome's Inflammation and Analgesia Labs and Analgesic Study Group. Mr. Selph has authored or co-authored more than 50 peer-review publications and seven patents (3 issued and 4 pending).
