Mine, which produced 10 million ounces of gold. SearchGold's recent drilling program targeted two main gold mineralized min·er·al·ize v. min·er·al·ized, min·er·al·iz·ing, min·er·al·iz·es v.tr. 1. A mineralized interval of 2,33 g/t Au over 4,11 m was returned from hole LF-04-19 within a broader halo of mineralization yielding 1,21 g/t Au over 11,37 m. A compilation of previous diamond drilling in the eastern part of the property established the presence of a mineralized zone located just south of the lake King of the North. This new zone, named "South King zone", displays several specific features which have retained SearchGold's attention, namely : - Close spatial association of the gold mineralization with a felsic intrusive body recognized over a 300 m strike length and open towards the east. - Proximity and similarity in geological context (lithologies and alteration) with Francoeur orebody : mineralization hosted at an andesite - gabbro lithological contact in close spatial association with an altered felsic intrusive ; the South King zone is located 1,900 m south-east of the Francoeur # 3 orebody. - Presence of high grade mineralization (14,36 g/t Au over 1,80 m in hole LF-01-16) within a broader halo of lower grade auriferous impregnation associated with the felsic intrusive (up to 1,21 g/t Au over 11,37 m in hole LF-04-19). A diamond drill program designed to fully evaluate the South King zone is planned for the fall. This program will: - Investigate the eastern extension of the South King Zone were several unexplained IP anomalies remain to be tested. - Verify the theory that structural traps located at the intersection between north trending structures and the gold bearing horizon might act as enrichment sites for gold mineralization. Lac Chevrier This property is located in the Belleterre area, 5 km west of the Belleterre Mine, a former producer of 750,000 ounces of gold. A gold bearing vein with gold values reaching 84,82 g/t Au is exposed at the surface and a 2004 trenching program exposed a 20 m wide zone with numerous quartz veins mineralized with sulfides. A compilation of previous work suggests that the property is strategically located as it straddles a major regional volcanic- granite contact. This contact is oriented northwest on the property and the work has so far identified two families of veins: - Veins with an east-west orientation that yield the best grades (up to 84,82 g/t Au). - Veins with a northwesterly orientation that are well mineralized with sulfides but that have so far only yielded anomalous gold values (up to 0,17 g/t Au). The property has only been the object of sporadic work and systematic exploration work is planned for the fall to : - Improve the understanding of the property's geology. - Delineate the volcanic-granite contact and define its relationship with the observed mineralization. - Locate additional mineralized structures. - Test the best targets with diamond drilling. The fall program includes line cutting, geological mapping and sampling, prospecting, ground geophysical surveys, and follow-up diamond drilling.
