) has begun shipping its AdPulse(TM) On Demand Advertising System, the only market-ready solution for a range of dynamic advertising opportunities in on-demand television. Subscribers are watching over 180 million free on-demand programs per month, but until now operators have not been able to tap this audience for advertising. AdPulse integrates directly with operators' on-demand platforms to make run-time insertions into on-demand streams, so fresh ads are spliced on-the-fly, at the moment that subscribers order their on-demand programs. Ad assets are managed entirely separately from program assets. This radically reduces lead times for ad placement from weeks to minutes. In addition, it enables variations of ads to be rotated in and out of service, and individual ad copy to be refreshed at any time - per schedule, or on-the-fly.

A typical CRT screen provides 96 dpi, which provides 9,216 dots per square inch (96x96). Axiom Content Dynamics enhances the on-demand system to address the unique needs of advertising. The AdPulse On Demand Advertising Manager is the back-office system. Operators use an intuitive, web-based interface to define inventory, enter orders and metadata, and view reports.
