Samuel Levy, Ph.D., has joined Scripps Health's genomic
medicine program as director of genomic sciences. He has extensive
experience in sequencing and analysis of human genomes. In his new role,
Levy will work alongside Drs. Eric Topoi, Nicholas Schork and Sarah
Murray, and oversee the human genome sequencing work at the Scripps
Translational Science Institute. Previously, Levy acted as director and
professor in human genomics at the J. Craig Venter Institute in
Rockville, Md., as well as senior scientist and lead informatics
researcher for Celera Corp.
