B. Dazzle Inc.'s newest puzzles, the "Roses" and "Antique Autos" Scramble To encode (encrypt) data in order to make it indecipherable without having a secret key to "unlock" it. The term came from the early days of cryptography which camouflaged analog transmissions with secret frequency patterns.  Squares, have a simple concept: There are nine square pieces and the picture on each piece must match the ones surrounding it to form a larger square. But the simple concept doesn't translate into a simple solution. The company claims that the average adult takes about 2 1/2 hours of concentrated time to solve the puzzle.

The puzzles come to the consumer already scrambled scram·ble
