Scorsese's warm NY welcome.

The Directors Guild of America announced that Martin Scorsese's Sikelia Productions has signed a lease for the entire 5th floor (comprising 7,500 rentable square feet) in the recently renovated historic DGA New York Headquarters Building and Theater at 110 West 57th Street.

According to Directors Guild of America president, Michael Apted, "The DGA is very proud to welcome Marty's company into our home. The synergy of having an active and highly-respected production company like Sikelia Productions as tenants complements the creative environment the DGA is seeking to develop through our recent New York Headquarters renovation."

This year, the DGA launched a major renovation and extensive upgrade of the New York Headquarters Building and Theater to become the leading center for film and television on the East Coast. With amenities such as the state-of-the-art theatrical screening facilities and building and building systems, the DGA New York Headquarters is attracting the interest of established production companies and other entertainment industry prospective tenants. Completion for this project is anticipated in the first quarter of 2004.

Scott Gottlieb and Scott Wilpon of CB Richard Ellis represented Sikelia Productions while Bernstein Real Estate's Vincent J. Terranova and Peter Liptrot represented the DGA in the deal.
