, Conn. -- Dan Onofrio, president and owner of Scorpion Fasteners Inc., announced today the expansion of the relationship of his company with John Wagner John Wagner is a comics writer who was born in Pennsylvania in 1949 and moved to Scotland as a boy.  has acquired Scorpion Fasteners as part of its continued commitment to being associated with the most progressive and innovative companies in a market channel. Scorpion Fasteners has long enjoyed a strong reputation in the northeast regions of the United States United States, officially United States of America, republic (2005 est. pop. 295,734,000), 3,539,227 sq mi (9,166,598 sq km), North America. The United States is the world's third largest country in population and the fourth largest country in area.  and will be operated as a separate division of JWA. Scorpion Fasteners was founded in 1975, originally specializing in fasteners for metal buildings and steel roof deck construction. Today, Scorpion Fasteners produces full lines of fasteners for drywall, acoustical, decking, light steel and wood-related applications. Scorpion Fasteners maintains its headquarters in East Windsor, Conn.

To help facilitate the transition, Onofrio will remain in an advisory capacity at Scorpion Fasteners and is excited to help bring a wealth of new product offerings to Scorpion customers.
