Science center eyes Waltham HQ.

WALTHAM, MA: Broadway Partners and the Massachusetts Life Sciences Center (MLSC), a quasi-public agency tasked with implementing the State's $1 billion life sciences initiative, announced that the MLSC will lease 5,855 s/f of office space for its new headquarters at the Bay Colony Corporate Center, a premier Waltham office campus located along Route 128. In addition to the new headquarters, the MLSC will maintain a small workspace in Boston.

Consisting of 968,831 s/f of office space, the Bay Colony Corporate Center is located on a 58-acre site overlooking the Cambridge Reservoir and Route 128. The MLSC headquarters will be located at 1000 Winter Street, a four-story building situated in the center of the campus. Broadway Partners recently reinvested $1 million to complete significant renovations to the property.

Sue Donovan, senior vice president of DTZ FHO Partners, represented the landlord, Broadway Partners, in the lease negotiations. Peter McDonald of McDonald Real Estate Ventures represented the MLSC.
