Science Dynamics Announces New Version of VFX-250S.

(Nasdaq:SIDY), a leading developer and supplier of advanced telecommunications products and applications, Wednesday announced the availability of the 2.1 release version of the company's successful VFX-250S Video over Frame Relay A high-speed packet switching protocol used in wide area networks (WANs). Providing a granular service of up to DS3 speed (45 Mbps), it has become popular for LAN to LAN connections across remote distances, and services are offered by most major carriers.  device.

The 2.1 version includes a number of features to increase flexibility and compatibility with existing frame relay networks. Among the new features included in the 2.1 release are an external TT Clock that enables the use of devices requiring an external clock; the addition of local and remote loop-back facilities to aid in trouble- shooting network installations; and changes in internal clock speed and the automatic variable buffer length.
