Science Applications International Corp. (SAIC SAIC - http://saic.com. ), McLean, Va., was awarded on Oct. 24, 2001, a $114,181,522 cost-plus-fixed-fee task order under the U.S. General Services Administration The General Services Administration (GSA) was established by section 101 of the Federal Property and Administrative Services Act of 1949 (40 U.S.C.A. § 751). The GSA sets policy for and manages government property and records.  Federal Technology Service's multiple-award, indefinite-quantity millennia contract. This task order will provide information technology support services to the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR SPAWAR Space & Naval Warfare Systems Command (US Navy)

). Work to be performed includes systems architecture, systems engineering, system design, configuration control, pre-installation and post-installation testing, systems integration, information security and engineering support for acquisition in all SPAWAR business areas including command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance may refer to:
  • the US Joint Command see'' Joint Functional Component Command for Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance.
  • the military term, see'' Intelligence, Surveillance, Target Acquisition, and Reconnaissance.
; information technology; targeting; and information operations and information warfare. SAIC and its team members will provide key horizontal integration engineering support across all SPAWAR program areas. This contract includes options which, if exercised, would bring the total cumulative value of this contract to $596,610,044. Work will be primarily performed in San Diego, Calif., and is expected to be completed by October 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
