Schwartzberg named Person of the Year.

Recognizing his professionalism and involvement in the Long Island business community, Jeffrey B. Schwartzberg was named "Sutton & Edwards' Person of the Year" for 2006.

The prestigious award was announced by Herbert Agin, chief executive of Sutton & Edwards Inc./TCN Worldwide, Long Island's premier commercial real estate services firm,

Schwartzberg is senior director-industrial properties at Sutton & Edwards, which he joined in 1999. Last year, he completed approximately 80 transactions totaling 750,000 square feet.

"Jeff Schwartzberg represents the core of Sutton & Edwards' business philosophy. He is a professional's professional," said Agin. "He has immersed himself in the Long Island Business community with his charitable work and has exhibited his desire to excel professionally through such real estate organizations as the Commercial Industrial Brokers Society and the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors."

Schwartzberg recently attained the highly regarded SIOR certification, making him one of only 15 commercial real estate brokers in Nassau and Suffolk Counties to meet the society's rigid educational, ethical, and transactional volume requirements. Schwartzberg also is treasurer of CIBS and first vice president of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Long Island, a mentoring organization for Long Island's youth.

Since joining Sutton & Edwards seven years ago, Schwartzberg has participated in sales and leasing transactions totaling more than five million square feet.
