Scholarships and Fellowships Available.


Applications are available now for the Foundation for Physical Therapy 2002 Doctoral Opportunities for Clinicians and Scholars (DOCS) program. Completed applications are due to the Foundation on or before January 15, 2002.

There are two opportunities to receive scholarships in the Promotion of Doctoral Studies (PODS PODS Principles Of Database Systems
PODS Portable on Demand Storage
PODS Palm OS Developer Suite
PODS Pipeline Open Data Standard (pipeline GIS data model developed by Gas Research Institute)
PODS Passive Occupant Detection System
) program. Applicants may be either full-time or part-time students. The scholarship period is September 1, 2002, through August 31, 2003.

The PODS level I scholarships fund students who have completed at least two full semesters or three quarters of their course work toward a doctorate. Selected candidates receive an award of up to $7,500.

The PODS level II scholarships fund students who have been formally admitted to candidacy. Selected candidates receive up to $15,000.

 fellowships to physical therapists who have completed their doctorates in the previous 5 years or to physical therapists with doctorates who have completed their professional education within the past 5 years. Fellowships are $30,000 and are renewable for 1 year. The fellowship period is September 1, 2002, through August 31, 2003.
