Schmuck story. The Mostly Unfabulous Social Life of Ethan Green * Starring Daniel Letterle * Here Films As movie source material goes, Eric Orner's comic strip comic strip, combination of cartoon with a story line, laid out in a series of pictorial panels across a page and concerning a continuous character or set of characters, whose thoughts and dialogues are indicated by means of "balloons" containing written speech. "The Mostly Unfabulous Social Life of Ethan Green" is hardly X-Men--not that there's anything wrong with that. It's just that Orner's drily witty look at the foibles of contemporary gay culture and romance relied more on observational humor than on plot or character, leaving any potential adapters with their work cut out for them. Devotees of the strip might miss characters like the snooty Todd or Ethan's sardonic talking cat. But the whole concoction goes down smoothly, thanks to Letterle's charm and the talented supporting cast, including Meredith Baxter Meredith Baxter (born June 21, 1947 in South Pasadena, California) is an American actress.
