Schlumberger ATE Develops Industry's Fastest Traffic Generator and Analysis Option to Fully Stress V5 Telecommunications Equipment Under Test.

SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 19, 1998--Schlumberger Automated Test Equipment (ATE) today announced the industry's fastest traffic generator and analysis option to fully stress V5 access network equipment under test before deployment in the field. This option, available on the Schlumberger S765 family of testers, provides switch manufacturers and access network manufacturers the ability to verify their products against heavy traffic and analyze results to ensure the system will withstand large amounts of traffic.

Programmable to handle national variants in the ETSI V5 interface, including both V5.1 and V5.2, the traffic generation and analysis option provides the highest volume of traffic with up to 10 calls per second per interface and handles up to 16 interfaces simultaneously. This capability provides system users the required level of traffic to fully stress the system under test. The option also provides complete traffic analysis from the traffic generation run to pinpoint errors and bottlenecks.

They also offer flexibility to test a completed system as a whole unit or as a sub-module tester providing rack-level test capability.

The high traffic generation and analysis option is now available on the S765 family of V5 testers. Pricing starts at $60,000.
