Yesterday morning, I saw that the firm announced a $400-million buyback program, forecasting that it will have "no material impact" on third- and fourth-quarter results. Turning to our luckless losers, Maxim Integrated Products (NASDAQ: MXIM), a Californian concern that makes integrated circuits Integrated circuits Miniature electronic circuits produced within and upon a single semiconductor crystal, usually silicon. Integrated circuits range in complexity from simple logic circuits and amplifiers, about 1/20 in. (1. , was down more than 12 percent when we compiled our figures. And finally, Mylan Laboratories (NYSE:MYL) fell more than 13 percent on news that second-quarter profits missed the Street estimate.
