Analysts were expecting income of 40 cents per share. Quarterly revenue was $643.9 million, compared with the year-ago figure of $603.7 million. For the third quarter, ADI forecast third-quarter revenue of $675 million to $685 million. Today, Prudential reiterated the stock at "neutral" and Piper Jaffray cut its 12-month price tarter to $32 from $37.

Yet again General Motors (NYSE:GM) is on our winner's list. The stock took a tumble yesterday, falling almost three percent as the Dow slipped more than 140 points. However, there are signs of strength today. The Dow was down more than 70 points at last check, but GM is gaining ground, and there is evident support at the 25 level.

Another stock doing well today, despite the general selling is Cisco Systems (NASDAQ:CSCO) However, today's gains follow two days that saw sharp drops in the price, so CSCO looks set to close down on the week. Today, Sanford Bernstein upgraded the stock to "outperform" from "market perform." CSCO slipped to the twin support of its 20-day moving average and the $20 level. If you're long on the stock you might watch for a close below $20, which would suggest weakness.
