The recent lackluster performance has really impacted the number of new highs and lows. The number of new annual highs (100) were dwarfed by the number of new annual lows (216) by more than a 2-to-1 margin. This has been a rare ratio given the bull the run in the broader market since mid October. Below are the tables with those stocks that achieved new annual highs or lows while sporting an "extreme" Schaeffer's Equity Scorecard rating. Two of the stocks that made our list today are Advanced Micro Devices (NYSE:AMD) and Red Hat (NASDAQ:RHAT). 11:03 AM ATI Technologies Tops Earnings Estimates, Guides Revenues Higher This morning before the market open, ATI Technologies (NASDAQ:ATYT) reported first-quarter earnings of 10 cents per share Cents per share The amount of a mutual fund's dividend or capital gains distributions that a shareholder will receive for each share owned. , topping analyst estimates by six cents. ATYT also raised its revenue outlook for the second quarter and sees revenues of $638-662 million, versus the consensus estimate of $553.8 million. Although the stock initially gapped higher on this positive earnings result, it has since lost ground. The company said it sees both revenue and earnings per share coming in below the guidance it provided on November 1, as well as the current outlook from analysts. Bottom line is the guy can really move a stock when he talks about it on his show. Take for example retailer Polo Ralph Lauren (NYSE:RL), which he was bullish on last night. I currently have an open long position in our Hot Stocks program and today the shares gapped higher and are currently up over four-percent to just under an all-time high. With no news on the wires, I was wondering why in the world the shares where moving like that, well after a little more research I found out he mentioned RL on his show. Ah, the power of the media.
